Orlando International Airport MCOMost of the travelers going to Port Canaveral are flying to Orlando Airport (also known as OIA or MCO). MCO provides the combination of the convenience of a modern large airport with the close proximity to Port Canaveral. Orlando Sanford International Airport SFBSome cruise passengers on their way to Port Canaveral may flight to Orlando Sanford Airport, which is located in Sanford, Florida, approximately 20 miles north of Orlando in Seminole County, Florida. The ideal time for arriving at OIA is between 10:00am to 2:00 pm(14:00). Baggage Claim and loading takes approximately 40-60 min. With the included transit time the total time the from flight touching down at OIA to the cruise terminal at Port Canaveral is 90-120 minutes. Most cruise lines check-in and boarding schedules are between 12:00pm to 4:00pm(16:00). Please check with your Cruise Line for complete details and specific instructions.
