Royal Caribbean has invested $120 million in the Mariner of the Seas, a 15-year-old Voyager-class cruise ship in order to amp its offerings up and attract younger travelers with shorter cruises. The renovation is a part of a $900 million program, called Royal Amplified, and involving 10 ships in a period of four years, including the recently amplified Independence of the Seas.
