Carnival Boosts its Presence at Port Canaveral

carniva victoryCarnival Cruise Line is planning a major expansion of its presence at Port Canaveral by adding two new ships, announced the officials from the company a couple of weeks ago.

The Carnival Victory will replace the smaller Carnival Sensation and will offer three- and four- day Bahamas cruises. The Victory is 34 per cent larger and has more balcony rooms, features and shipboard amenities. The Sensation will head to Port Miami at that time, replacing the Victory there. Continue reading

Carnival Corp. Orders Nine New Ships to be Built

However, the company did not specify which of its nine brands would use the vessels; other details were also absent, including the cost of the ships, their size or the timeline for their delivery. Cruise itineraries changed due to Ebola concerns

In spite the fact that most cruise lines don’t regularly visit West Africa, there still are a few lines that offer exotic voyages with port stops in the area.

Carnival’s third year-round ship at Port Canaveral

800px-St_Thomas_Marriott_Carnival_Liberty_2Carnival Cruise Lines moves the Liberty from Port of Miami to Port Canaveral. The Liberty joins two other Carnival cruise ships, the Sensation and the totally transformed Sunshine, both home-based at Port Canaveral.

With the addition of the Liberty on May 4 to Port Canaveral line-up, Carnival Cruise Lines already has three ships based here. In this way Carnival will increase the number of its passengers to 600,000 a year on nearly 200 cruises visiting 18 tropical islands. Continue reading
