Carnival Splendor to Leave Fleet; Carnival Cruise Line to Get Third Vista-Class Ship

800px-Carnival_Cruise_ShipCarnival Splendor is leaving fleet to make way for a third Vista-class ship.

Carnival Vista, Horizon, and a third yet unnamed one are all Vista-class ships, coming out of the shipyard in Italy. Carnival Splendor is scheduled to leave the fleet in 2019 and moves to sister line P&O Cruises Australia.

Celebrity to Debut Edge-Class Ship in Fall 2018

800px-celebrity_silhouette_ship_2011_001Celebrity Cruises announced the names and delivery schedule for the first two vessels of its newest class of ships, the Edge-class, only a few days ago. They will be named Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Beyond.

Final Preparations for the Arrival of Oasis of the Seas at Port Canaveral

Royal Caribbean’s 225,000-ton Oasis of the Seas, flag ship of the world’s largest class of cruise vessels, will sail into Port Canaveral on Saturday, November 5, and will berth at Cruise Terminal 1 for the winter 2016-2017 cruise season. Continue reading

Royal Caribbean Announces Godmother for Harmony of the Seas

harmony_of_the_seas_27151378661_2Royal Caribbean International has selected the Godmother for Harmony of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship.
23-year-old Brittany Affolter from the Miami-Dade region of Teach For America was named godmother of Royal Caribbean”s Harmony of the Seas after a 6-week long contest among about 1,000 local educators.
