4 Injured on Storm-Battered Anthem Of The Seas: Nelson Calls for Investigation
U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Orlando, has called for the National Transportation Safety Board to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Four people were injured on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem Of The Seas after hurricane-force winds and waves battered the huge vessel off the South Carolina coast.
The ship, with more than 4,500 guests and 1,600 crew members, was on its way from Cape Liberty in New Jersey to Port Canaveral for a port-of-call stop, before it was to head to the Bahamas when it ran into high winds and rough seas in the Atlantic Ocean over the weekend.

Haiti: 2nd Cruise Ship Canceled in Labadee Due to Ongoing Protests
Royal Caribbean announced that it is canceling another port stop for one of its cruise ships at the cruise line’s private destination in Labadee, Haiti, because of protesters. All shore-side crew were evacuated.
The Navigator of the Seas was scheduled to stop at Labadee on Thursday, but the cruise operator canceled the port call after encountering a flotilla of protesters in small boats. Continue reading
Royal Caribbean Signs 10-year Deal with US Virgin Islands
Royal Caribbean, the world’s second largest cruise line, signed a 10-year deal with the U.S. Virgin Islands in order to boost tourism and generate revenue. The agreement was reached after several years of negotiation and begins in October 2016. Continue reading
