Harmony of the Seas in Search of a South Florida Godmother

Royal Caribbean in partnership with South Florida ABC Local 10 is asking South Florida residents to help find a godmother for Harmony of the Seas. South Floridians are encouraged to visit the site of Local 10 and nominate a mentor, educator or teacher who is inspiring the students to “dream big, think differently and challenge” the present and whose passion for education inspires the next generations to make a positive impact on the world. 8-Year-Old Nearly Drowns in Pool Aboard Anthem of the Seas

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAn 8-year old boy is in critical condition after nearly drowned in a pool on Royal Caribbean cruise ship. The accident happened on Thursday evening at eight to 10 miles off the coast of Breezy Point, Queens, according to officials. Crew members were alerted on Thursday evening that a boy needed medical attention after he was found unconscious at the bottom of one of the ship’s swimming pools. Coast Guard Senior Chief Steven Allard said that he boy remained in the water without oxygen for almost 18 minutes before being discovered by ship officials. Continue reading →
