Historic Voyage: First U.S. Cruise Ship in Over 50 Years Set Sail for Cuba

After a half century of waiting, first U.S. cruise ship sets sail from Port Miami for Cuba on an historic voyage. This happens after communist nation loosens its policy banning Cuban-born passengers from arriving to the country by sea. Parents Missed Ship in Bahamas With Their Young Kids on Board

800px-Norwegian_Breakaway_37A couple was filmed while waving their arms on a Bahamian port as they watched the Norwegian Breakaway sails away with their children on board.

Youtube user Scott Thomas uploaded dramatic footage of the event showing vivid scenes of the parents racing to catch the ship as it set off and the mother got on her knees as the cruise ship’s passengers helplessly looked on. Continue reading

Norwegian Joy Starts to Take Shape at Meyer Werft Shipyard

800px-Norwegian_Epic_water_chute_2Norwegian Cruise Line has begun construction of Norwegian Joy, its first ship designed exclusively for the Chinese market, where it will make its home port. The 168,800-gross-ton will take about 12 months to be built and is due to launch in summer 2017.

Norwegian Joy has the capacity for 3,900 passengers is being designed specifically for the Chinese travelers. The new addition of Norwegian Cruise Line will be based in both Shanghai and Tianjin. Continue reading

Family Takes on Royal Caribbean After 4-Year Old Nearly Drowns

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA family is suing one of the largest cruise lines in the world after their 4-year-old nearly drowned in the on-boat pool.
